Remembered Memories
Sometimes, someone will say something in conversation and for a second, it reminds me of something, but I can't quite place it. It's kind of like deja vu, but instead of feeling like I'm repeating that exact moment, I'm just remembering a feeling or memory from the past...without actually remembering any details of it. Does that make sense? It makes me wonder if perhaps every memory or experience I have is lodged into my brain somewhere, revived only by the slight, familiar smells, words, or glances.

Oh the memories
When I was at work the other day, I got a short whiff of something that smelled very nostalgic and familiar, but I couldn't place it. I just smelled it again at my house and it seems like the fusion of cigarette smoke, weed, and mustiness. I can place it now -- it reminds me of going to shows in high school. Oh, the memories. I love scents, they remind me of so many things.
